Doin it. Here's a preview of one. Been trying to color more and more. Gotta get quicker and better with more appealing pallettes and funnier jokes. Would be sweet if I could crank out a comic a day.

Compositing.

So I'm getting the hang of After Effects. I'm learning some particle effects and stuff to give a little extra bit of polish. I'm really stoked to use the 3d camera and give a lot of these shots a LOT more depth than just regular Flash work. Here's a compositing before and after where I feel like the dust really adds to the environment of this shot. Maybe you gotta wait to see it animated:

Horror Vacui.

Who's bright idea was it to paint a CU of a goddam Turkish rug? Oh yeah, mine. Anyway, WIP. Still gotta fill in the flat areas and punch it up.

I really suck at drawing women. I'm trying to put in a little time to learn and do some studies. I gotta learn to finesse the curves and anatomy and stuff. Ugh, so much to learn and produce, not enough time in the day.

Well, it was the first yesterday so I didn't exactly hit my deadline, but the project is turning into something a little better than I originally planned. Sorry folks, don't wanna give too much away, but won't be posting too much on the blog until this project is done.

New film! Working on a project that we hope to finish before March 1st with my pal Ryan Kramer and my other buddy Ryan Gerrish. Dunno if we can do sound by then, but hopefully picture lock. Just a quickie minute film. It's fun working with a team for a change. Anyhoo, here's a quickie BG.

Think color brings enough added interest to throw an extra hour or two to each comic for a nice lighting/color job? Does color matter?
