How To Cartoon.

Well, put down those crayons and inch even closer to your computer screen.

Check it out HERE <----------------

No no no, now you've gone down too far. That's right, scroll back up. Oh, unless you're trying to view my artwork. In that case, no need to take off your shoes, just make yourself at home.

My good pal Mike Nassar wrote up a retrospective on how we pulled off "Timmy's Christmas" that he'll be posting on the studio blog soon. If anybody is interested on how to make films on a shoestring budget, this is a good time to keep your eyes peeled.

I recently turned 23.

And I'm mysteriously losing my hearing.

Crocodile Poster #1 and #2.

Making gig posters for our tenative band and putting them up. Fake venues, fake dates. Then maybe when we get a couple bonafide gigs, people will recognize the name and be like "hey, I know that venue and I'm free that night. They've been playing a bunch of shows, I should check them out."

They're all gonna be heavily influenced by that Rick Griffin show in Laguna from a while back.

Timmy's Christmas

*Deep, trailer-narrator voice* Once in a lifetime, a cartoon is released on the internet. A cartoon that was produced so quickly, so efficiently, so funnily-ish, that the internet almost collapsed.
That cartoon.
Timmy's Christmas.

VIEW IT HERE. <-----------

I wasn't the only person to work on this project (in fact, I didn't really do much except bug everyone to see their scenes and laugh obnoxiously loud). Mad props to Mike Nassar, Ryan Khatam, and everyone's favorite David Gemmill who really pulled through on this project. I suspect we'll be collaborating more in the future, as well as have our own side projects. So get excited about a new brand of cartoon hitting local internets everywhere!

La Revolucion.

This is a new year, 2008, for us to put in the history books. As we all know, history is written by the Victors. I've met the Victor family, they're very well mannered and polite. It's a shame they get such a bad rap.

But I digress.

I'm really excited for this year and the opportunities that are on the horizon. And cartoons are afoot. So get ready for the revolution people, it's spreading quickly. There are already co-conspirators joining the ranks. When the bullets start flying, which side are you gonna be on?

Eddie Fisher.

"Timmy's Christmas" is coming down the poop chute soon. Sorry for the delay, but it'll be worth it.

This morning's post is about Eddie Fisher. David Gemmil turned me onto him. I don't know too much about him, but he's from St. Louis (which seems to be a hotbed for churning out great musicians). My favorite album of his is titled "the Next 100 years" and it's full of dirty grooves like this.

Anyway take a bite of this while you wait for more cartoons.
